LEWISBORO, N.Y. Police are searching for a man after he allegedly violated an order of protection by driving onto the grounds of the Four Winds Hospital.
Lewisboro police were called to the hospital on Friday, Nov. 18, where a nursing supervisor told them that an employee observed Daniel Madina parked on the grounds at 8:30 p.m. the night before. Madina had been arrested on Nov. 11 for allegedly trying to run over a doctor at the hospital with a car and then hit him with a baseball bat. An order of protection was issued against Madina to stay away from the doctor and the hospital.
The state police were contacted and completed a report for an arrest for violation of an order of protection. A copy of the order and a description of Medina, as well as his vehicle, were given to Lewisboro police officers for patrol.

NOV. 15
Police were called to the Town Park on Route 35. Officers discovered that someone had destroyed the soda machine at the park pavilion. The machines owner, J&S Vending, was notified.
Police responded to Apple Hill Court in South Salem on the report of a vandalized mailbox.
Police were called to Lake Kitchawan Drive on the report of a vehicle in a ditch. Upon arrival, officers found a truck off the road. It had a hit a tree and was in a stream. There was no one in the vehicle. A passerby told police that a man was lying on the side of Lake Kiatchawan Drive past Hemlock Road. Officers found a man standing next to the guardrail. His clothes were wet and he told the officers that he was drunk. He confirmed that he was the owner of the pick-up truck in the stream. He told officers he was not injured and that he just wanted to go home because he was drunk. State police were called and the case was turned over to that agency.
NOV. 19
A woman came to the Lewisboro police station to request an arrest warrant for a man she said issued her a bad check. Police inspected the check, which had a bad date (2012). The woman said the bank would not accept it. She said she contacted the person who wrote the check and said they told her too bad. Police advised the woman that the case was a civil matter, but would call the check-writer to see if it would help. Officers left a message for the check-writer that they should correct the problem or legal action would be taken.
NOV. 20
Police were dispatched to Conant Valley Road for a domestic disturbance. Both Lewisboro police and state police responded. Officers discovered that a man, Carl Capezza, had lacerations to his head and face. He told police that his girlfriend, Katherine Colon, had struck him with a metal cane. Colon was placed under arrest and Capezza was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital by the Vista Fire Department.
NOV. 20
Police cited five teenagers three from Katonah and two from Bedford for possession of alcohol by someone under 21. While traveling on Smithridge Road, officers spotted a Hyundai Santa Fe go through the stop light at the intersection of Route 35 and Route 123. Police then paced the vehicle while traveling west on Old Post Road and caught it traveling at 71 mph.
The vehicle was stopped and investigation revealed that the driver and all the passengers had been drinking. The driver was turned over to State Police and the passengers were given appearance tickets. They are all due back in court on Dec. 12.
