LEWISBORO, N.Y. New York State Police arrested and charged a Goldens Bridge woman on Tuesday, Jan. 3, and charged her with felony driving while intoxicated.
Police say they stopped Patricia A. Wittaker, 69, on Route 138 in Lewisboro after observing her drive over the hazardous pavement markings and almost cause an accident with oncoming traffic. A subsequent investigation revealed Wittaker to be intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content (BAC) of .17 percent.
Further investigation revealed that Wittaker had a previous felony conviction for DWI within the last 10 years. She was arraigned at the Town of Lewisboro Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
Wittaker is scheduled to reappear in Lewisboro court on Monday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m.
