LEWISBORO Lewisboro Police were forced to call Adult Protective Services last week when they discovered a woman in severe emotional distress who was living in unfit conditions.
Officer Drew Conetta was dispatched to 11 Birch Spring Road in South Salem on June 27 where he meet with the resident a Mrs. Alderman who told the officer there were people in the woods talking and harassing and she wanted it to stop.
The officer was aware that Adlerman had past mental issues and that she had been hospitalized last month because of them. Since being released, she has called the police department several time times with similar complaints that did not make sense.
Officer Conetta spoke with Aldermans son who stated his mother had stopped taking her medication and that her condition is worsening. The officer also spoke with Aldermans daughter who convinced her to go to the hospital for treatment. EMS responded and she was transported to Northern Westchester Medical Center.
While on the scene, police noticed that there was garbage laying all over the front yard and a strong urine odor emanating from the home. Officer Conetta observed the inside of the home, which was filthy and cluttered with boxes and other items. There were motor parts and other debris scattered all about the front yard. A truck on the side of the road was leaking oil onto the grass. Conetta called the building department and advised them of the conditions. Adult Protective Services was then informed of the situation.

JUNE 27
Officer Rhonda Wallach responded to Ridgefield Avenue for a report of a traffic obstruction and discovered a large wire down across both lanes of traffic and another wire in a tree. The road was shut down in both directions and NYSEG determined the wire was cable and removed it from the roadway. Optimum was observed on the scene serving an area residence.
JUNE 28
While on traffic detail, Office Anthony Lobalbo responded to Four Winds Hospital in Cross River for a report of a client experiencing a heart attack. Upon arrival, the patient, Michael Lucey, was in the ambulance and being transported to Northern Westchester Hospital.
While performer radar enforcement detail on Mead Street Officer Loblabo stopped a vehicle for going 44 mph in a 30 mph zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver interviewed. It was determined that the operator had no valid drivers license from any state, but claimed to live in Danbury, Conn. He produced a passport from Ecuador. The vehicle was towed and impounded and tickets were issued for driving without a license.
Police responded to Peaceable Street in South Salem and discovered a utility pole down with live wire. The traffic light was out. NYSEG was called and was able to restore the power and the traffic light was returned to working order.
JUNE 29
Officer James Stradley responded to the Cross River Shell station at 870 Old Post Road for a complaint of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that was rented to Anthony Miozzi on June 6. The business owner, Michael Mongiello stated that Miozzi called that morning and said he would return the vehicle later that night, which did not happen. Police patrolled the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle, which was equipped with a tracking device. Officers stopped the vehicle, which was being driven by Miozzi, who was given a warning for speed not reasonable and prudent for the area (Lockwood Road). Officers advised Miozzi that the owner of the car would like it returned and the balance owed paid off or otherwise charges for unauthorized use would be filed. Miozzi owed a balance of approximately $1,106 for three weeks and five days of use. Miozzi had only paid for four days of use when he first rented the vehicle. Mongilello attempted to take payment from the credit card but it was declined.
