Lewisboro Teens Facing Hate Crime Charges

State Police in Somers say four teenagers are under arrest, two of them on felony criminal mischief charges, for allegedly spray painting anti-Semitic slurs and Swastikas on the home and neighborhood of a local Jewish family in the Elmwood Road area of Lewisboro. There were two other incidents, according to authorities, that involved the vandalism of a car in the Oakwood Commons Estates, and graffiti that was spray painted on several Post Office vehicles in the Vista section of Lewisboro. The vandalism occurred in the early morning hours of June 10.

Police arrested four young men following an investigation. They are identified as Michael Trapasso,17,of South Salem, Cris Grispin, 17, of South Salem, Daniel Mitchell,17 ,of Cross River, and Michael Skalaski, 18 of Goldens Bridge. Officials are looking for a female for questioning, who was with the men at the time of the crimes.

The four suspects were arraigned at the Town of Lewiboro Court before Judge Susan Simon and released on their own recognizance to the custody of their parents. They are due back in Town Court Monday evening at 7 p.m. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Investigator Jennifer Hahl at the State Police BCI in Somers at (914) 277-3177.
