Lewisboro Soccer Club Receives Grant From Forever Molly & Gregory Fund

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – The legacy of Molly and Gregory Friedlander and their mother, Amy, continues.

Members of the Forever Molly & Gregory Fund presented a $4,000 check to the Lewisboro Soccer Club last week, which will be used to purchase benches, landscaping and a plaque that commemorates Molly and Gregory at the club’s flagship field at Onatru Farm Park in South Salem.

The Forever Molly & Gregory Fund ( was created by friends of the Friedlander family in the wake of what police say was a murder/suicide perpetrated by Samuel Friedlander that took the lives of his children Molly and Gregory and their mother, Amy, last October.

The Forever Fund was designed to support the pursuits closest to Molly and Gregory's hearts in the areas of academic, athletic and artistic achievement. Grants are awarded bi-annually within the Katonah-Lewisboro community to support programs and to purchase equipment, supplies and services that enrich the lives of Molly and Gregory's classmates and teammates.

On the opening day of the soccer season last Saturday, Maria Boniface and Lisa Cohen of the Forever Molly & Gregory Fund presented the $4,000 check to the Soccer Club’s Co-President Dough Housman.

The club also plans on retiring Gregory Friedlander’s No. 30 travel jersey in honor of his memory.
