LEWISBORO, N.Y. Lewisboro police successfully tracked down a missing person last Friday.
A Conant Valley Road resident called police headquarters and said a male at the household said he was going for a walk at approximately 6 p.m. but nearly two hours later had still not returned home.
With assistance from the Pound Ridge Police Department, police began to search the area when they received a phone call waving traffic down in the area of Old Mill River Road. People found the man unharmed and returned him to his Conant Valley Road home.

Oct. 25
Police pulled over a motorist on Ridgefield Avenue in South Salem for making an illegal left turn. The driver stated he had no United States drivers license and the vehicle was impounded.
Police were detailed to a residence on West Lane in South Salem to escort a woman to retrieve property from the home. The woman informed the officer that her husband and his family had a court order of protection against her and she could not enter the house without their permission. She told the officer she had permission, but could offer no proof. The officer tried unsuccessfully to reach the womans husband by phone. The officer informed the woman he could not allow her into the home without proof of permission.
Police responded to Lewisboro Elementary School for a child who had ran out of the school. When officers arrived, school personnel had the child in the wooded area along Scott Lane. Officers were advised that the child had become upset over an incident in the school and ran off. The students mother arrived and took him home.
Police were called to Cove Road in Waccabuc by the dog control officer to investigate a dog complaint. A woman told police she was walking her dog when a pit bull and another dog came out onto the road and tried to attack her dog. She managed to pick up her dog as the other dogs growled and jumped up at her. She said she was able to yell at the dogs and quickly walk away. The attacking dogs owner came out and told her that her dogs had broken out of their gate but would not hurt her. The women exchanged words. Officers stopped at the attacking dogs owners home, but no one was there. The dog control officer will follow up.
Police responded for an aided case on Mead Street in Waccabuc for a woman who had fallen and injured her arm. Police arrived on the scene first an applied a sling and swatch to the victims arm. Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived and transported her to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
Oct. 26
A Todd Road resident told police that a subcontractor she had removed from the job returned to the home and removed a generator from the garage. She was unsure if she had paid for the generator and was checking her receipts. The homeowner also claimed that the contractor had cut a temporary hook-up leading from the electric meter to the house leaving a live wire on the ground. The homeowner also asserted that the contractor had taken an antique telephone from the home several weeks earlier. Police have been unable to contact the contractor and the investigation is pending.
While on patrol, police noticed a man running in and out of traffic on Route 35 near Route 121. The officer transported the man back to Four Winds Hospital where he was released to the mental health practitioner who said the man had left the hospital grounds while out on recreation.
Oct. 28
Police were dispatched to the Cross River Pharmacy on a larceny call. An employee told officers she had observed a 15-year-old girl take a box of condoms down from the shelf and remove one and then handed the box to a male friend. The male put the box back. Both subjects exited the store, but when confronted by the employee, they gave the condom back. The employee allowed the subjects to leave and they were gone by the time police arrived. The employee did not know their names.
