Lewisboro Chamber Holds First Networking Session of 2012

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Lewisboro Chamber of Commerce held its first 2012 networking meeting last week at Cross River's Bagel Nosh Cafe, bringing together business owners to share mutual concerns and offering them a chance to talk with local officials.

The event was hosted by Bagel Nosh Café owner Rogelio "Roger" Giraldo Rios, who also provided fresh baked goods and refreshments for the event. Despite the inclement weather, the event was well attended.

In addition to networking, discussions moderated by Chamber President Les Simon were held on issues of concern to local merchants. One of these focused on the influx of national chains into the community. Rios expressed concern about the possibility of franchises such as Subway and Dunkin’ Donuts coming to Cross River.

The next event will be the Chamber of Commerce Annual Citizen of the Year Cocktail Party. Additional information regarding its honoree, date and location will be available soon. Those interested in joining the Chamber can contact its website at www.lewisborochamber.com.
