Historic Quilts Coming to Lewisboro Library

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Town Historian Maureen Koehl and local resident Evelyn Russell will present the Russell family’s Civil War era quilt collection at the Lewisboro Library on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Koehl and Russell will discuss the quilters and provide the history of the patterns of the locally-made quilts. The program will be followed with a brief reception. This is the first in a series of fall and winter activities at the library that will commemorate the 150st anniversary of the Civil War.

The quilts will be on display until the end of November. To register for the event, call the library at 914-763-3857.
