Lewisboro Councilman Selected To Serve On Judicial Commission

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Lewisboro Town Councilman Frank Kelly has been appointed to serve on the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission for the 12th Judicial District.

The goal of the commission is to review the qualifications of candidates running for judicial office, with a view toward improving the quality of New York State’s judicial election system.

Kelly, a practicing attorney and a lieutenant-colonel in the U. S. Army, was appointed to the Commission by Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals. Kelly’s term will expire on December 31, 2013.
