Letter: Lewisboro Volunteers Minimized Nemo's Impact

To the Editor:

We here in the town of Lewisboro were very fortunate in regard to Winter Storm Nemo. You don’t have to look far beyond our community to see the full impact of the storm.

Although we were very lucky to have missed the brunt of the storm, I want to assure the residents of Lewisboro that we were prepared.

The time given by our first responders, town employees, school superintendent, utility crews, and our partners in county and state government was priceless. Through their cooperation and hard work, the effects of Nemo were minimized. This is in large part due to the efforts of these men and women, some of whom volunteer their time.

Thank you to all those who served and to those who helped return our community to normalcy so quickly.

Let’s not forget those on Long Island and in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and other affected areas for whom this is not the caseA.
