The weather forecast calls for scorching temperatures this weekend, but if you want to get out of the house, there are plenty of area events to keep you entertained. From classical music to farmers markets, check out some of the activities below:

SATURDAY, JULY 23

Get your French on at the Gossett’s Farmers Market. From 11a.m.  to 1 p.m., acclaimed chef Andre Molle from Le Chateau Restaurant  will make his debut Farmer's Market appearance. Walk with him and find out how he selects the tastiest foods from the market, comes up with some menu ideas and uses his French magic to transform into delectable dishes.

He'll be accompanied on his walk and in his open air kitchen by long-time friend and fellow chef, Sue Vales of the Horse and Hound Inn. Sue is a seasoned farmer's market chef and well familiar with the local bounty of foods we have here in the area. The public is encouraged to come to the demonstration, chat with the chefs and get inspired to cook local.

Gossett's Farmer's Market is held every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gossett Brother's Nursery, 1202 Route 35, in South Salem.

Chill Out at the Pound Ridge Pool at the Town Park with a live concert – the Saints Come Marching In! The concert, which is free, is from 5-7 p.m. For more information, call the Recreation Department at (914) 764-0947.
