LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Lewisboro Senior Adults organization set its meeting and activities schedule for August.

The group meets at the South Salem firehouse each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enter the building from the upper level to get to the meeting. The August schedule is as follows:

WEDNESDAY

Executive board meeting at 11 a.m., exercise at 12:45 p.m. Over the Hills Players presentation of “Jane Eyre” at 1 p.m.

SATURDAY

The Second Annual Lewisboro Adult Evening of food, drink and entertainment. Bring your own bottle. and food will be provided. This is an opportunity to learn more about the town’s adult programs. RSVP by calling the Lewisboro Parks and Recreation Department at (914) 232-6162.

AUG. 17

Book Club meets. The book “Room” by Emma Donoghue is scheduled to be discussed for this meeting. Those interested should contact Pam Veith at (914) 232-6162 or Cindy Rubino, director of the Lewisboro Library, at (914) 763-3857. Also on this day, Bingo with prizes will be held at 1 p.m.

AUG. 18

Tour of West Point with a stop at the Thayer Hotel for lunch. Shopping at Woodbury Commons. Bus departs from Town Park at 9 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $42.

AUG. 24

Knitting group meets at 11 a.m., exercise at 12:45 p.m. There will be a business meeting with the election of new board members at 1 p.m. Bring food for the food pantry and items for the animal shelter.

AUG. 31

Exercise at 12:45 p.m. and then a program of Maintenance of Health with Dr. Jim Martin, chiropractor, at 1 p.m.
