Fatal Hit-Run Crash: Woman Struck In Broad Daylight On Busy Roadway In Westchester
A suspect is in custody after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Westchester. It happened around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 in the hamlet of Hartsdale. The victim was struck by a motor vehicle in the area of 177 East Hartsdale Ave., according to Town of Greenburgh Police. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at White Plains Hospital. The vehicle, which fled the scene, was later located, and the driver was apprehended. Roadway Remains Closed For Replacement Of Downed Utility Poles
Town of Greenburgh police are advising drivers that Pipeline Drive is temporarily closed while repairs are made to two utility poles. The poles were damaged on Tuesday, Nov. 12, during a crash by a Town of Greenburgh vehicle. The road reopened for the evening rush hour, but was closed again Wednesday, Nov. 13 as Con Ed resumed work. Town of Greenburgh Police Chief Brian Joseph Ryan said workers anticipate the roadway will be closed for at least six hours. Metro-North Trains Back Running, Roadway Still Closed Following Crash
A live power wire that landed on train tracks during a crash, has been removed and the Metro-North Harlem Line is back up and running to Hartsdale. Town of Greenburgh Police say the Pipeline Drive will remain closed as police conduct an investigation of the crash that took place around 11:55 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, when a Town of Greenburgh vehicle struck a utility pole on the roadway in Edgemont, said Town of Greenburgh Police Lt.
