State Police ID Driver Killed In Head-On Hudson Valley Crash
One man was killed and two others hospitalized in the Hudson Valley after a head-on crash, New York State Police said. On Saturday, Nov. 27, state police in Dutchess County launched an investigation into a fatal crash on State Route 9G in the Town of Rhinebeck. According to police, the initial investigation determined that Hyde Park resident Jared Hammerling, age 29, was driving a 1997 Honda Civic northbound on Route 9G south of Slate Quarry Road when he crossed over the double yellow line and struck a 2018 Subaru Outback head-on. Westchester Residents Charged With Impaired Driving In State Police Stops
More than a dozen area residents were among the 18 charged by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving in the Hudson Valley. Local residents charged were: Westchester County On Saturday, June 27, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Jose R. Becerra Rey, 32, of Peekskill, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a felony. Eight From Westchester Charged With DWI Over Presidents Day Weekend
Nearly two dozen area motorists were among those busted by State and local law enforcement agencies have made a concerted effort to curtail impaired drivers in the Hudson Valley as part of a drinking and driving crackdown throughout the state.
