Scenes for the Apple+ series "Swipe" were filmed at AltaFit in New Rochelle at 5 Plain Ave. on Monday, May 13, according to the gym's owners. A busy parking lot in Westchester will be shut down for most of a day to make room for a film shoot, police announced. On Monday, April 29, the Highland parking lot in Rye in the area of Purchase Street and Purdy Avenue will close between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. to allow crews to shoot scenes for an episode of a television show called "Swipe," according to the City of Rye Police Department. A vehicle was engulfed by flames soon after its driver noticed smoke while driving on Interstate 95 in Westchester, officials said. The incident happened on Tuesday, April 16 around 11:45 a.m., when the Rye Fire Department learned of a vehicle blaze at the intersection of Old Post Road and Playland Access Road. Authorities are warning residents to keep their cars locked after a man was caught trying to enter parked vehicles in Westchester before leading police on a chase into Connecticut.
