Police To Conduct Training With Simulated Weapons At School In Port Chester A police department in Westchester is advising residents that it will be conducting training with simulated weapons at a school in the county.  The Port Chester Police Department will be conducting the training on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the Park Avenue School, authorities said.  The training exercises will include the use of simulated weapons, but there is no concern to the public, the department added.  "We thank the Port Chester School District for use of the building," the department said.

Man Tried To Lure Child Into Car With Candy In Port Chester, District Says Police are investigating a reported luring attempt in which a young man offered an elementary aged student candy to get into his vehicle in Westchester. The incident reportedly took place after early dismissal, in area of Orchard and Rectory streets, said the Port Chester School District. The Thomas A. Edison School is located in that area.
