According to Ten-X, the 121-room Holiday Inn Express in Dutchess County on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie will be auctioned on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The company-owned property was originally put up for sale in 2020, but it was pulled due to the pandemic and market plunges.  Ten-X says the property is offered unencumbered by management and debt. 2 Top-Prize Winning Lottery Tickets Sold At These Westchester Stores Two storefronts in Westchester County cities sold top-prize-winning lottery tickets on the same day, officials announced.  The two winning Take 5 tickets, each worth $17,052.50, were sold at stores in Yonkers and New Rochelle for the drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 4.  The stores that sold the tickets were revealed to be R. C. Variety at 154 North Ave. in New Rochelle and O'Dell Stationery at 1034 North Broadway (Route 9) in Yonkers.  As for the names of the lucky winners, those were not made public.

Vehicle Rolls Over In Crash On Busy Main Road In Westchester Crews had to clean debris from a busy Westchester roadway following a two-vehicle crash that left one car flipped on its side.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Aug. 20 just before 7 p.m., when two cars collided at the intersection of Main Street and South Broadway (Route 9) in Irvington, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department said on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The drivers were able to get themselves out of the vehicles and were later evaluated by EMS crews.  After around 45 minutes, all of the debris from the crash was cleaned from the roadway, the department said.

Car Goes Up In Flames On Busy Westchester Roadway Smoke was seen on a busy main route in Northern Westchester when a vehicle went up in flames.  The incident happened on Saturday, May 11 around 1:40 p.m., when a car caught on fire on Route 9 southbound in Croton-on-Hudson just south of the pedestrian bridge.  According to the village's fire department, the blaze began in the vehicle's engine compartment and was quickly put out. The car was removed from the road after around an hour. No injuries were reported.
