Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $50K Sold At This White Plains Gas Station A visitor to a Westchester gas station walked away with a lottery ticket worth tens of thousands of dollars.  The third-prize-winning Powerball ticket, worth $50,000, was sold in White Plains for the drawing on Monday, Oct. 21, New York Lottery officials announced.  Officials added that the ticket was purchased at a Gulf gas station at 750 North Broadway (Route 22). The winning numbers were 01 25 57 62 64 with a Powerball number of 15.  The name of the lucky winner was not made public.

The Grant Avenue Bridge over the Central Westchester Parkway in White Plains closed to vehicular traffic on Wednesday, June 5 as part of a bridge rehabilitation project, White Plains Public Safety officials announced on Monday, June 10.  As a result, Grant Avenue is closed between Clinton and Beech streets. Man Caught After Robbing White Plains CVS: Police Thanks to a witness's sharp eye, a 33-year-old man has been apprehended in connection with a robbery that took place at a CVS Pharmacy in Westchester, police announced.  The incident happened on Tuesday, April 10 just before 9:30 a.m., when a suspect robbed the CVS at 601 North Broadway (Route 22) in White Plains and allegedly threatened employees with a handgun, according to White Plains Police.  The suspect was able to flee in a car before officers arrived at the scene.
