These Hudson Valley Liberal Arts Colleges Ranked Among Top 20 In US, New Report Says
The grades are in, and these colleges are a cut above the rest.
Of the top 20 liberal arts colleges in the United States, four can be found in Massachusetts, three in New York, and one in Connecticut, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 National Liberal Arts Colleges Rankings.
They are:
No. 1 - Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts
No. 2 - Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts
No. 4 - Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts (Tied with Pomona College in Claremont, California and Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania)

Winning $100K CT Lottery Ticket Sold At Newington Food Store
A pair of winning $100,000 CT Lottery tickets sold at Connecticut food stores have been cashed in on the same day.
First, in New London County, on Monday, March 14, Oakdale resident James Floyd, Jr. cashed in a winning "Pinball Wizard XXIV" scratch-off ticket that was sold at Sams Food Store on Ocean Avenue in New London.
Later that day, Middlesex resident Joseph Rigano, of Middletown, cashed in a second winning $100,000 "CASH5" ticket that was sold at Price Chopper on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington in Hartford County.

Formerly of Katonah, Weston's Margaret H. Broudy, 95, Was A Bookstore Owner, Prodigious Reader
Margaret H. Broudy of Weston, formerly of Katonah, died at the Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Danbury on Nov. 29 at the stroke of midnight, age 95 ½. She left on her own terms.
Margaret (aka Maggie and Margie, depending on which circle of family and friends was in the room) was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lt. Colonel Morris H. “Steve” Broudy, in 2011.
