I-287 Stop In Westchester Leads To DWI Charge For Fairfield Man A Town of Fairfield man is facing multiple charges after police conducted a traffic stop on I-287 in Westchester. The incident occurred on Sunday, Feb. 3 at around 1:20 a.m. State Police stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Greenburgh for numerous vehicle and traffic violations. During the stop, the driver, 58-year-old James A. Cheney of Fairfield appeared to be intoxicated and gave police probable cause to search the vehicle. Police discovered approximately 34 grams of marijuana during the search. Cheney was arrested, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where his BAC was found …
