19: CDC Recommends NYers Wear Masks Indoors In These Counties
With the surge of new COVID-19 cases in New York in recent weeks, nearly two dozen counties statewide have been advised to start masking back up to help curtail the spread of the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its guidance on mask-wearing to concentrate on COVID hospitalizations, hospital capacity, and newly reported infections, permitting most of the state to drop the mandate. However, after New York saw the number of new COVID-19 cases rise nearly 40 percent in the past week, the CDC has advised certain areas of the state to re-enact mask mandates.…

Vaccinating children is also a crucial element in achieving herd immunity and decreasing numbers of hospitalizations and deaths, The Times says. While NJ, NY and CT positive rates have been dropping, other states including Pennsylvani…

19 Vaccine?
The COVID vaccines being rolled out do not use inactive virus to build immunity, rather messenger RNA (mRNA) technology as a novel way of preventing illness Sandra Lindsay’s bravery and wisdom spoke volumes when she became the first person in the US to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. “Healing is coming,” she said directly after getting the shot, iconic yet profound words that will ultimately propel the country—and world—through the final stages of the pandemic.
