Drones To Fly Over Town In Hudson Valley: Here's When, Where
Drones will soon be sighted above a Hudson Valley town—these are supposed to be there, though, according to authorities. Beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Department of Environmental Protection will be flying drones over the Putnam County town of Southeast, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced. The drones will fly over the East Branch Dam near Sodom Road and Route 22, the Sheriff's Office said. This activity will continue throughout the week. More information was not immediately available.

A rampaging stolen construction vehicle that rammed multiple police cruisers during an early-morning chase in Westchester was stopped when a quick-thinking officer pushed it off the road with a public works loader. The incident began on Thursday, May 13 around 12:30 a.m., when North Castle Police reported that a stolen skid steer with a forklift attachment was refusing to stop and had entered Harrison in the area of Park Lane, according to Harrison PD. ID Released For Remains Of White Plains Woman Found In Reservoir
A woman who had been missing for more than 30 years has been identified as the person found inside a vehicle at the bottom of the Muscoot Reservoir. Brenda Kerber, age 40, of White Plains, a mother of two from two marriages, was found more than 30 years after she went missing in September of 1989, said the Chief of the White Plains Department of Public Safety Joseph Castelli. Kerber's remains were found on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in a station wagon pulled from the Muscoot Reservoir in Somers. Car Crashes Near Reservoir In Westchester
All hands were on deck after a driver crashed near the Amawalk Reservoir in Northern Westchester. First responders were dispatched to the reservoir shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, where there was a report of a car that had crashed near the edge of the water. According to officials, all four occupants of the SUV were able to extricate themselves from the vehicle, though each was rescued by first responders and treated for various injuries at Westchester Medical Center. Oh, deer. It’s deer mating season, and area residents have been cautioned that there will be a rise in vehicle collisions involving the animal for several months. The breeding season for white-tailed deer in the area runs from October to January, with peak activity taking place in mid-November, leading to an increase of sightings and collisions involving deer vs. drivers. This story has been updated. A rollover crash of a tractor-trailer carrying thousands of gallons of diesel fuel and gasoline in Northern Westchester caused a lengthy road closure on Route 116. The crash took place around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday on Route 116, also known as Titicus Road, in North Salem, leaking some of the diesel fuel it was carrying, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
