Police: County Officer Injured When Car Hit By DWI White Plains Woman
A Westchester County Police officer was hospitalized over the weekend after an alleged drunk and unlicensed driver lost control and rear-ended his patrol car while he was on a Bronx River Parkway exit ramp in Yonkers. An officer was stopped on the shoulder of the ramp at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 7, Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary said. Lanes Closed On Central Park Avenue In Yonkers Due To Crash, Police Say
A stretch of Central Park Avenue is closed in Yonkers as police investigate a crash in the area. The Yonkers Police Department issued an alert at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 warning that southbound Central Park Avenue at Midland Avenue has been reduced to one lane and the westbound entrance to the Cross County Parkway is closed. Police said that the lane closures are due to a motor vehicle crash and police activity at the scene. The investigation at the scene is expected to last several hours and commuters have been advised to plan alternate routes in the area, police noted.

Get set for a new closure last over several days on a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway. Motorists have been advised that beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, the Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed in Mount Vernon and Pelham between exit 6 (I-95) and Exit 15 (Cross County Parkway). The planned closure of a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway that had to be postponed has been rescheduled in Westchester. Flooding Causes Bronx River Parkway Closure

With heavy rains hitting the area, the Westchester County Department of Public Works has been forced to close a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway due to flooding in the area early Tuesday afternoon. The DPW issued an alert stating that the parkway will be closed from the Westchester County Center to the Cross County Parkway. Amazon Truck Slams Into Overpass In Westchester
A tractor-trailer slammed into an overpass overnight, backing up traffic for hours on the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester. The tractor-trailer, driving illegally on the parkway, crashed around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound side just north of the Cross County Parkway near the Yonkers-Mount Vernon border, Westchester County Police said. The top of the truck, which was carrying packages for Amazon, was sheared off and packages and debris littered the roadway, shutting down two of three lanes. No injuries were reported.

The Yonkers Police Department issued an alert on Monday, cautioning that there will be northbound lane closures on Central Park Avenue from Mile Square Road to the Cross County Parkway.
