Vehicle Stolen From Driveway On Residential Street In Rye Police are urging residents to lock their cars after a vehicle was stolen from a driveway on a quiet Westchester street. The theft happened on Friday, June 21 around 3 a.m., when a car was stolen from a driveway in the area of Dearborn Avenue in Rye, according to the City of Rye Police Department.  The car had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said. The incident prompted the department to remind residents to lock their vehicles, take the keys inside, and remove valuables.

Scarsdale Police Chief Andrew Matturro announced on Friday that the department has received a donation from Esurance of a vehicle that will be used for undercover police operations. Bronx resident Jean Tapia, 33, has been arrested after allegedly stealing a package from a home in the Edgemont neighborhood, Greenburgh Police Sgt. Brian Matthews announced on Wednesday.
