Serious Crash Impacts Traffic on Busy Route In Westchester: Developing
A serious crash is causing traffic delays on a busy main route in Northern Westchester, police announced. The crash happened on Route 6 in Somers between Clayton Boulevard and Mahopac Avenue on Thursday, May 2, the Carmel Police Department announced just before 12:30 p.m. Carmel and Somers Police are now directing traffic in the area of the crash. These Westchester Hospitals Get 'A' Grade For Patient Safety: New Report
Two Westchester hospitals have received top marks for keeping patients safe, according to a new report. Drivers in one Hudson Valley county caught illegally passing school buses will soon start receiving steep fines. Beginning on Sunday, April 28, drivers who pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights in Putnam County will receive a violation notice in the mail, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday, April 24. Residence Goes Up In Flames In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley residence was damaged in a blaze that took crews hours to put out. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Monday, April 16 around 2:40 a.m., when a residence in Brewster on Dingle Ridge Road went up in flames, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Responding fire crews from Lake Carmel, Brewster, Carmel, Croton Falls, and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team were able to get the blaze under control after around two hours, firefighters said. A woman faces charges after illegally entering a Hudson Valley animal hospital during its overnight hours, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday night, April 12, when a woman illegally entered the Carmel Animal Hospital at 235 Route 52, according to Carmel Police.
