ALBANY, N.Y. -- John Pressley had 17 points and three assists and Amar Reynolds added 16 points as Purchase held off Sage College, 65-63 in a mens college basketball game, Wednesday.
D.J. Smith made one of two free throws with two seconds remaining to provide the final margin of victory. Smith finished with 14 points, five rebounds and six assists. Elon Howard led the team with nine rebounds and six blocked shots.
The score was even at 58-58 with two minutes remaining when Purchase took the lead for good. Purchase is 5-2 on the season and 3-0 in Skyline Conference play.
