PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Sophomore Ayssa Casino has been a defensive force since the beginning of pre-season practice and it has carried into the season for the Manhattanville womens volleyball team.
Casino led the team with 21 digs in a 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-12 win against Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham in a womens college volleyball match Wednesday.
Casino, a Maria Regina graduate and Rye Brook resident, leads the team with 149 digs. She had a season-high 37 against Bard and 27 in a three-setter against Ramapo.
