Manhattanville Field Hockey gets 10th Win

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Amanda DeChent, Melissa Goncalves and Alyssa Nardone scored goals, sending Manhattanville to a 3-0 win over visiting DeSales in women’s college field hockey, Thursday.

The win was the Valiants’ 10th and also snapped a two-game losing skid.

DeChent opened the scoring, in the first half, with her team-leading 12th goal. The Putnam Valley graduate also has nine assists. Senior Alyssa Coughlan, a Rye alumnus, assisted on the goal.

Goncalves doubled the lead to 2-0, early in the second half, with her first goal of the season.

Amy Hilton kicked out four shots to record her second shutout of the season.
