Harrison Football Aims To Remain Undefeated

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison has transformed the second half of its first two varsity football games into an offensive show.

The Huskies scored 23 points in the second half of a 30-20 win versus White Plains in the opening week. In week two, Harrison erupted for 28 points, rallying for a 35-34 win against John Jay-Cross River.

Harrison puts its undefeated record on the line at 7 p.m. Friday as the Huskies host undefeated Sleepy Hollow in a Section 1 Class A football game.

Sleepy Hollow comes into the game off an excellent defensive showing in a 14-0 win against Rye. The Headless Horsemen intercepted two passes, including one returned for a touchdown.

The two teams did not play last year, but Sleepy Hollow defeated Harrison in a 2010 game.

The winner of this game will remain among the top teams in Class A and further help itself toward a berth in the Section 1 Class A football championships.
