PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Third-graders from the Harrison school district's Purchase Elementary School spent their Earth Day getting some hands on experience in nature.
According to a tweet from elementary school Principal Adam Gutterman, the students spent the day visiting the Manhattanville College campus on Purchase St.
The children learned about the Earth by experiencing it for themselves during the field trip, according to Gutterman's photographs.
