Purchase College Alum Wins Daytime Emmy Award

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Fabrice Kenwood, member of the Purchase College class of 1987, was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design in a Drama Series."

Kenwood won for his work on the long-running soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful," one of two Daytime Emmys the show won. According to www.imdb.com, Kenwood has worked on more than 580 episodes of the show as an art director since 2000.

At Purchase College, Kenwood graduated with a bachleor's degree in theater design/technology. Originally from Montclair, N.J., Kenwood earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Penn State University in 1992 and moved to Los Angeles to work for CBS beginning in 1993.

Kenwood became the second Purchase College alumnus to be honored with a major award in entertainment in the past month. Jeff Croiter (class of 1993) won a Tony Award for his work on "Peter and the Star Catcher," a play based on "Peter Pan."
