HARRISON, N.Y. - Thirty-seven high school athletes in Westchester were honored Wednesday, June 3 at 64th annual dinner for the Con Edison Westchester Scholastic Sports Award Program at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in Harrison.
The event honored all of this year's, "Athlete of the Week" winners, including four who received scholarships.
The awards were distributed as follows:
Irwin “Red” Klein Memorial Scholarship ($10,000) Charles Tarry - Bronxville High School
Irwin “Red” Klein Memorial Scholarship ($5,000) Andrew Livingston - Rye High School
Anthony Sabella Memorial Scholarship ($5,000) Emily Duarte - Rye Country Day School
Dr. Charles J. Blanford Scholarship ($5,000) Theresa Swertfager - John Jay High School
The evening was sponsored by Con Edison and moderated by Hall of Fame baseball and basketball sportscaster Bob Wolff.
