HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison Town/Village board member Joseph Cannella received 100 percent of the vote in Tuesday's primary election, according to unofficial board of election results.
Cannella appeared on the Conservative primary ballot. There was also an opportunity for voters to write in a candidate’s name. He received 31 votes - 100 percent - with 75 percent of the votes counted.
Additionally, White Plains resident Benjamin Boykin II ran on the Independence ticket for the District 5 seat on the Westchester Board of Legislators. With 96 percent of the votes in at 6 a.m. Wednesday, he had 29 votes - 100 percent.
West Harrison resident Mark Jaffe ran on the Independence ticket for the District 6 seat. Voters, depending on their district in Harrison, had the option of writing in a candidate for the respective District 5 or 6 seat. With 76 percent of the vote counted, he had 60 votes - 100 percent.
Thomas Murphy of Mamaroneck and Catherine Parker of Rye ran on the Democratic ticket for the county legislature's District 7 seat, which also represents parts of Harrison. Parker also ran on the Independence ballot, with the option to write-in a candidate. With 80 percent of the votes in at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Parker 973 votes - 53 percent - and Murphy had 851 votes - 47 percent.
For registered voters of the Green Party, there was also a write-in ballot available to vote for a District 7 candidate.
