HARRISON, N.Y. When running for Harrison Town Clerk, one of Jackie Greers promises was extended office hours one day a month. She lived up to that promise after being elected. The extended hours started Jan. 24.
While her normal hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, she extends them from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every fourth Tuesday of the month. She enacted those hours for those who are not able to make it to town hall during normal hours.
The extended hours take place during Planning Board meetings, which means there is no need for required evening security and thus no additional cost to taxpayers.
