Police are searching for a man who escaped custody while being arrested at the Harrison train station late Wednesday night.
MTA police were called to the scene at around 9:20 p.m. on reports of a domestic dispute in the parking lot, according to MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan. Police found the man in question in a parked car, and while they were handcuffing him he managed to escape custody and flee the scene.
A search was still under way Thursday morning, but Donovan said that officers know who the man is.
"He is still not in custody, but we expect to find him. He does not present a threat to the public," Donovan said.
