Domenico DiMarco, 92, Harrison Laborer

HARRISON, N.Y. – Domenico DiMarco of Harrison died Tuesday, Sept. 11. He was 92.

Born Dec. 28, 1919, in Corvara, Italy, he was the son of Alfonso and Lucia Luciani DiMarco. He served in the Italian army for six years and lived in Brazil for six years before moving to the United States on Aug. 6, 1967.

DiMarco was a laborer by trade and an avid bocce player. He also enjoyed gardening and loved to share his vegetables with his neighbors.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Aldesina D'Orazio; a daughter, Lina Amendola; a sister, Isolina Ciccone; and a grandson. He was predeceased by a son, Anthony C. DiMarco; a son-in-law, Francesco Amendola; and seven siblings, Gino, Giuseppe, Sabatino, John, Filomena, Antoinette and Gemma.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory's Church in Harrison. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
