Brubacher was born April 28, 1952, in Yonkers, daughter of Jean Erdley and Joseph Cavanagh. She was a West Harrison resident for nearly 33 years. Early in her career, she held several positions ranging from waitress, to a Nabisco Cookie Company sales rep, then Zee Medical Company sales rep. She finally spanned an almost 30 year profession for Verizon Telephone Company, beginning as a customer service bureau repair and dispatch technician and finishing as a repair and installation field technician. She was a member of the CWA local 1103, before retiring in 2010. A graduate of Saunders High school in Yonkers, she later continued her higher education in business administration and management at the Westchester Business Institute.
Brubacher is survived by her son, Robert Brubacher Jr.; former husband, Robert Brubacher Sr.; step dad, Dave Deakyne; half sister, Cynthia Lucci; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Robert Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, NY, 12524, 845-896-6166, with memorial services at 3:30 p.m.
