Nancy Gamerman, a Metro-North spokeswoman, said the person killed on a westbound track in the Harrison train station was Nicola Drago, 36.
Drago was struck by the train at 1:28 p.m. Electricity to the track was shut down as volunteer firefighters removed his body.
"There appears to be no criminality involved," Gamerman said Tuesday evening. She said it "does not appear to have been an accident."
Harrison Fire Department volunteers assisted at the scene. Harrison and Rye-Port Chester ambulances responded. Other local fire departments -- including Mamaroneck and Rye -- were put on standby until police completed an investigation at the train station off Halstead and Harrison avenues.
The fire department requested all tracks shut down in both directions, causing delays throughout the afternoon.
