As of 7:30 p.m., train riders on the New Haven Line were continuing to experience delays of up to 45 minutes due to congestion.
Trespassers on the tracks near Mamaroneck forced Metro-North to shut off power from the New Rochelle to Harrison stations as police searched for the people on the tracks, NBC New York reported.
Service had resumed by Wednesday evening, but delays were reported for hours.
