Lust, Canter Elected as Harrison Town Justices

HARRISON, N.Y. - Town Justice Marc Lust (D, R, WF) was re-elected to another four-year term along with lifetime resident Nelson E. Canter (R, I, C), according to unofficial results from the County Board of Elections. Canter's election ousted Justice Ronald Bianchi (D, I, WF), who was also seeking re-election.

"I consider it a great honor to service in this town," Lust said. "I take a lot of honor and enjoyment in doing so."

County Board of Elections results show that all districts reported Lust the leader in votes with 36 percent and Canter with 24 percent. Bianchi didn't trail far behind with 23 percent of the vote, close to 80 votes less than Canter.

Conservative Justice candidate Pasquale Gizzo received the fewest votes of the four with 16 percent.

Lust has served as a town justice in Harrison for the past 12 years, while Bianchi was elected to serve in 2007 after a lengthy history in Harrison including experience as a town attorney and mayor.
