HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison High School juniors Mikie Sakanaka, Elizabeth Crozier and senior Madison Pollack were selected to perform in this year's Area All-State Chorus Performance at SUNY Purchase. Sophomore Sarah Curtis was also selected, but will be unable to perform due to scheduling conflicts, the school said.
Pollack and Crozier will be performing with the Mixed Chorus Ensemble and Sakanaka will be singing with the Women's Ensemble. All three students have been active members of the Harrison High School Chorus that will be competing in the National Heritage Music Festival in Chicago from April 11 to April 15, 2012.
In addition to school concerts, the girls also participated in events such as the Choral Cabaret evenings and the spring musicals.
The concert will be held Thursday, Nov. 3 at SUNY Purchase at 7:30pm.
