Harrison Students Host Senior Holiday Dinner

HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison's Louis M. Klein Middle School Student Council worked alongside its PTA to host an annual senior citizen holiday dinner earlier this month.

The tradition entered its 16th year, hosted by the LMK Student Council, and has attracted close to 2,000 guests over the years.

Local senior citizens were also treated to performances from LMK singers. The performance was led by Ellen Vassallo and included members of the school's orchestra headed by Alanna Mackey.

"LMK students take a leadership role in planning and implementing the dinner," Steve Goldstein, one of the Student Council advisors, said. "The students enjoy being an important part of this LMK tradition, which brings together three generations of Harrison residents. Students understand their role and place in the community by connecting with some of Harrison's finest citizens."
