Harrison Library Features Holiday Programming

HARRISON, N.Y. – Holiday children's programming will make its way to Harrison's library as the season quickly approaches. Harrison Library Director Galina Chernykh said she was anxious to feature a wide range of holiday-themed events in the coming weeks.

"Give winter boredom the boot, participate in library activities and enjoy our great selection of winter books and other resources at our library," Chernykh said in a statement.

Programs will run through the rest of December and will feature events like holiday origami and winter-themed crafts.

Programs at the West Harrison Branch:

Open PlayCome in from the cold and meet other parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children. Make new friends, play, complete puzzles, and have fun.Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 11a.m.

Holiday OrigamiLearn how to make holiday shaped origami – ages 6 and up on.Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 3:30 p.m.

Programs at the Harrison Downtown Library:

Winter StorylandTuesday, Dec. 27, 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.For children ages 3-5, siblings welcome.

Meet Storyteller Jason EdwardsSponsored by the Friends of the Harrison Library.Wednesday, Dec. 28, 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Russian Story TimeAn interactive and educational program for kids ages 2 – 5 in Russian.  Residents come to read a fairytale, sing, dance and meet new friends.Thursday, Dec. 29, 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Make a SnowmanChildren of all ages and their families are invited to spend some quality time together making crafts at the library.Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 3 p.m.

Let's Watch Some MoviesThe library will show "Frosty the Snowman."Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 3 p.m.
