RYE, N.Y. - Heavy construction on Theodore Fremd Avenue in Rye closed the north-bound lane Tuesday and will stay closed through Wednesday for drainage work. Town workers were directing traffic so the only open lane could be navigated safely.
The lane closure is near the intersection of Theo Fremd Avenue and Central Avenue in Rye before the road becomes Halstead Avenue. Drivers should consider a different route until the work is finished later Wednesday afternoon to avoid traffic congestion.
