HARRISON, N.Y. Frank J. Murabito, a retired math teacher of Harrison, died on Oct. 30. He was 79.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1931 in Goshen, N.Y. to Vincent and Carmela Murabito and went on to serve in the Army during the Korean War. Murabito was retired from his position as a mathematics teacher for the Harrison Central School District.
Murabito is survived by his wife Alice Hogan Murabito, his sons Frank, Daniel and James, his daughter Carol, his sisters Josephine Contorino and Anna LaRue and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Carmela Torrisi and his brothers Salvatore Murabito and Anthony Murabito.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen, with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Eugene J.
