Harrison's Emily Bisceglia, 87, Honored Thursday

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Emily Pearl Bisceglia died in her sleep at home in Harrison on Feb. 12. She was 87. 

Active in Harrison organizations, Bisceglia was a member of the Harrison Senior Center, the Red Hats and the Garden Club. 

She was born June 20, 1924 in Port Chester, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Passarelli. Bisceglia retired from Gannett at the age of 62 after 20 years of employment. She demonstrated her independence by up keeping her home, where she wished to stay until her passing

Bisceglia is survived by her daughters Barba Bisceglia Blume of Harrison and Gwen Bisceglia Keegan of Florida, her son Michael Edward Bisceglia, Jr. of Harrison, her brother William Passarelli of Florida and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and a granddaughter, Lisa Johnson in 2005. 

Friends may call on Wednesday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison. Interment will be private.
