HARRISON, N.Y. – The Performing Arts Center of Purchase College in Harrison has engaged Onstage Publications to publish its program books beginning in fall 2016.
Onstage will manage and publish the arts groups’ traditional paper program books and also offer its Stageview product, the first and only app that allows program books to be viewed by patrons on their mobile devices.
Stageview not only changes how patrons view their program books, but also transforms the way performing arts groups and their advertisers are able to interact with those filling the venues’ seats.
With Stageview, performing arts groups are able to utilize new marketing techniques such as surveying patrons, and tracking which ads they are viewing and how long each held their interest.
Performing arts program books are an integral piece to the overall experience while attending a live performance. However, the program books are a huge cost, and add a lot of work to an arts organization’s staff.
“We become an extension of the performing arts organizations’ marketing team by taking over advertising sales, layout and design, and publishing of the program books so they can do what they do best – produce quality performances for their community,” said Norman Orlowski, president of Onstage Publications.
Onstage works with more than 70 performing arts organizations throughout the country. The partnership with the Performing Arts Center of Purchase College is an expansion into an existing market where Onstage currently produces performing arts books for Caramoor in Katonah, Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck and Westchester Philharmonic in White Plains.
