Amazon's 'Mozart In The Jungle' Films At SUNY Purchase

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- SUNY Purchase which is known for teaching for teaching the country's next rising stars is having its own celebrity moment.

"Mozart In The Jungle," which begins its third season on Amazon Friday, Dec. 9, is filming at the college Thursday. Sept. 8.

The dramedy stars Gael García Bernal, Lola Kirke, Malcolm McDowell, Saffron Burrows, Hannah Dunne, Peter Vack, and Bernadette Peters and is based on a memoir by Oboist Blair Tindall's about her years playing various high-profile gigs with NYC ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic and the orchestras of numerous Broadway shows.

It was recently announced that "Billions" and "Madame Secretary" Actress Prema Cruz has joined the cast.

Filming is taking place in the Concert Hall and Repertory Theatre in The Performing Arts Center on campus, according to a SUNY Purchase spokeswoman.
