There will be at least 58 teams of walkers and other individuals, representing friends and family of ALS victims, alive and deceased. The creator of the Ice Bucket Challenge -- Pat Quinn -- will also be at the event.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, according to the ALS Association website.
