A 24-year-old woman was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice after authorities conducted a welfare check on her in Northern Westchester, police said. Queens resident Nicole Aguirre Leon was arrested by Yorktown Police on Tuesday, Feb. 20 after she was found to be a fugitive with an active warrant out of New Jersey, the department announced on Friday, Feb. 23. Man Jailed For Selling Drugs That Caused Fatal Overdose In Westchester, Police Say
A 30-year-old man was hit with felony charges for allegedly selling drugs that caused a victim's fatal overdose in Northern Westchester, police announced. Yorktown resident Albert Tapia was arrested outside of his residence on Thursday, Feb. 15 in connection with a fatal overdose that occurred in October 2023, Yorktown Police announced. According to the department, on Thursday, Oct. 26 around 3 p.m., Yorktown Police responded to a residence on East Main Street where the overdose happened. Shoplifter Caught With Crack Cocaine After Stealing From Westchester Mall: Police
A Hudson Valley man faces several charges after he was caught with crack cocaine and stolen merchandise from both a Macy's and LensCrafters in a Northern Westchester mall, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident on Thursday, Oct. 26 around 5:40 p.m., when Yorktown Police were alerted of a shoplifter running from a Macy's Loss Prevention associate at the Jefferson Valley Mall.
